Wow. I just finished
Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones. An incredibly well-written book. I really liked
Sebold's concept of heaven. But, wow, what an emotional ride. I pretty much felt "upset" the entire time I was reading this book. I can only imagine what it would be like to read this if you knew someone who went missing...
I definitely thought this was a good book, would I recommend it...not sure.
The girls at work are just starting to pass this book around but no comment from them yet. I did put my bids on the book as well, but I agree that I will have to be careful when I read this book. I don't need to bring extra sadness at work so I will have to decide to read it over a week-end. I'll let you know what everyone thinks of this book.
ReplyDeleteHey, I just read this while I was away. I agree, definitly an emotional one, but I liked it (I do choose the happiest books for my trips, don't I).
ReplyDeleteI really liked "snow flower and the secret fan", thanks so much!
