Thursday May 27, 2010: What books do you have next to your bed right now? How about other places in the house? What are you reading?
Answer: I just finished Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger today (post with review coming this weekend), so I have to pick my next book soon! I don't usually keep my books to be read pile at bedside, they are usually in the bookshelf in the bedroom or in the tv stand in the living room. For some reason the books have migrated bedside, so here we go:
- A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry (I've been "reading" this for a few months now)
- Baltasar and Blimunda by Jose Saramago (I started this last week and had to put it down)
- The Dante Club by Matthew Pearl
- The Patron Saint of Liars by Ann Patchett
- Day After Night by Anita Diamant
How about you dear readers? What is on your bedside/to be read pile?
I am presently reading YSABEL by Guy Gavriel Kay, it seems intriguing kinda like the Labyrinth by Kate Moss, and I am also reading The Children's Book by A.S. Byatt (the apostrophe is like that on the book cover) and I really don't like it and it's quite a long book so it's on shelf therapy right now. I also have two mysteries one is Batter Off Dead by Tamar Myers ((I've read everything in her series) and another one by Lorna Barrett which is called Bookplate Special which is a "Booktown Mystery" Series. I am also going to get The Magicians in paperback now that it is in. I have so many books piled up by my bedside I wouldn't have it any other way!
ReplyDeleteThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is on my just-read pile (recommend! I'm looking forward to reading the others) and The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie is on my currently-reading pile. As for other books scattered around...I guess you know them all! PS--I like the term "shelf therapy"--it sounds so nice.
